INTRO -
Hi everyone,
I’m Mehreen Sheikh, the Founder & CEO of Sheluxe Lingerie: An e-commerce brand specializing in women’s intimate wear.
Saying the words…CEO still gives me goosebumps.
FAMILY BACKGROUND -
I come from a very conservative background, where late working hours were not encouraged for women. But I just knew I had to do something, build something of my own. So, I decided to step into the corporate world. But the corporate world had its own set of challenges.
WORK BACKGROUND -
I started in admin and reception…that’s where I learned the fundamentals of operations. But with time, I made my place and climbed up the corporate ladder. From there, I moved into fintech which is a fairly male-dominated industry. So, I had to upskill to stay ahead constantly.
Now if you are wondering what my fintech experience has to do with me starting a lingerie brand, then let me tell you….it has to do a LOT.
Being familiar with financial structures, backend operations, and dealing with systematic patriarchy in workspaces have given me tons of insights which help run Sheluxe.
SHELUXE BRIEF -
I created this brand with a simple vision in mind…of putting every ‘She’ at the center. No matter your size, shape or color. I genuinely believe that comfort & confidence should be accessible to all women. So the way I look at it, Sheluxe isn’t just about lingerie; it’s about providing the right fit, quality, and innovation for everyone.
SHELUXE SUPPORTS WOMEN -
Sheluxe was launched in 2024 and I’m proud to say that from warehouse to marketing, 80% of my staff are women. We’re not here to just sell lingerie—we’re here to create opportunities for women like you and me.
As a brand, we focus on customized fittings, diverse categories, and innovative intimate products. So whether you are looking for everyday essentials or bold statement pieces, we have something for everyone.
FUTURE HOPES & PLANS -
I just hope that with everything that I do with Sheluxe, we make a small impact on the world. Make this place a tad bit more inclusive… so that every woman looks good, feels good, inside out.
